They come to snub the rooster. When it comes to grundge/metal one can never go wrong with a little Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney. At first I hated Alice in Chains but like every great band the lyrics were catchy and the riffs were rockin. My age group either knows all the lyrics or has never her of them and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I remember a few years back be and a buddy were having the defining rock band conversation and the only band we really called in the same rank was Alice in Chains.
Formed late 80s in Seattle, the small time band hit pay dirt in the 90s even having to compete with the great Nirvana and Pearl jam. And god am I glad they did, they have a unmistakable sound and are unique as hell.
