Trials and tribulations of being a Greenday fan

Having such an affinity with 90s grunge and all to do with the 90s naturally I'd be attracted to Greenday. Being a post Nirvana psudo punk/grungy kinda band they opened my eyes to punk music. Its kinda spiraled me into the CBGB greats like Clash and Ramones. A whole new genre than what I was used to. It was fuckin awesome hearing these Brit punk bands that the media called senseless racket and thinking it was the best music in the world.
So back to Greenday. While I have multiple albums I have to take the hipster stance on this one. Great band before they sold out. If memory serves correct originally signed with reprise in the early 90s .Greenday came up on the scene putting out a few albums but still kept to their punk roots. Arguably after American idiot got big their music declined. Its a shame Dookie was such a great album. But hey its proof that fame changes bands and not always for the better.
